Overview

In order to fully experience the changing culture, a variety of experiences, historic places, land and seascapes, and a land rich in history and long-forgotten cultures, we have designed an itinerary that is filled with activities starting from Tangier, the gateway to Africa. Four of Morocco's imperial cities—Meknes, Rabat, Fes, and Marrakech—famous for their renowned fine art, architecture, and artisan skill, are visited from the fabled city of Tangier. Additionally, travel to the 'Blue Pearl' in Morocco's jewel box, the highland town of Chefchaouen, before reaching the luxurious Desert Camp and the breathtaking Moroccan Sahara. Finally, leave to Marrakech. This thoughtful vacation awaits you with atmospheric lodgings, city explorations, a singularly stunning mountain road drive, travelling from the North into the South of Morocco, glamping in the Sahara, and time travel through ancient and modern Morocco presenting its magical and unusual sites.

Day 1 : Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen

Meet our driver from Linda Morocco Tours to transport you to Chefchaouen after picking you up from your Tangier accommodation or airport or port. We will pass via Tetouan City en route, which is well-known for its rich cultural heritage and Andalusian influences, which offer a mouthwatering blend of Moroccan and Spanish cuisine. Explore the bustling Medina of Tétouan,which actually a UNESCO World Heritage site. Wander through narrow lanes encircled by whitewashed structures featuring elaborate balconies and vibrant tiles. Discover the gems of the city, such as the Kasbah, the Royal Palace, vibrant marketplaces, and aromatic spice souks. Admire Tétouan's stunning architecture, traditions, and history—all of which come together to make this city a true Moroccan gem. We will take you to have a typical meal when we get to Chefchaouen so you can start exploring the town after lunch.. Experience the charm of the medina of Chefchaouen and discover the narrow alleyways with their blue and white facades creating a dazzling ambiance. Discover hidden gems everywhere you look, from bustling markets full of local goods to quaint squares bustling with life. Savour the delectable Moroccan cuisine, strike up a conversation with the friendly locals, and take pictures to document the essence of this intriguing city. The sun sets over the city, casting a magnificent glow over Chefchaouen. As you relax and recuperate in your accommodations, take in the serene atmosphere and reflect on the memorable moments of the day. Dinner and nighttime are the last steps.

Day 2 : Chefchaouen - Volubilis- Meknes - Fes

You'll feel refreshed and ready to go on more explorations when you wake up. Once you have had a delicious breakfast, leave Chefchaouen and head towards Volubilis. As you ride down the winding roads, take in the breathtaking surroundings and let yourself be drawn into the allure of this interesting location. Your next visit should be to the UNESCO World Heritage site of the ancient Roman ruins at Volubilis. Discover the exquisite mosaics, towering columns, and imposing arches that transport you back in time as you explore the well-preserved ruins. Admire the stunning architecture and extensive history that once adorned this Roman city. We'll travel on to Meknes to see some of its most important landmarks, like Bab Mansour, the royal stables and Lahdim Square. We will proceed to Fes after lunch and arrive late in the afternoon, Our driver from Linda Morocco Tours will drop you off at your hotel or riad.

Day 3 : Full Day Guided Tour in Fes

After breakfast on the third day of our Tangier desert tours, you'll take a walking tour of Fes's Medina to see some of its most well-known sights. Twelve centuries old and a maze of more than nine thousand alleys, Fes's medina is a significant part of the Arabic and Islamic worlds. Our Fes Medina walking tour will concentrate on the following major monuments: Bab Bou Jeloud, "The Blue Gate" of Fez, the most well-known entryway of the Medina and exquisitely embellished with traditional mosaic and carvings, stunning fountains with Andalusian architectural styles, such as the Nejjarine fountain, Medersas (Koranic school) and mosque, which was founded in the early's of the 13th century and offers a great example of the beauty of Arabic-Andalusian architecture and mosaic, Qarawiyinne university and mosque, which was the first university in the world according to UNESCO and is considered to be one of the biggest and most influential mosques in Morocco, Africa, and the whole Islamic world Batha Palace, now a museum of fine arts and traditional handicrafts, the Chouara Tanneries, which are emblematic of Fes, and the souks, such as Souk Attarine, one of the liveliest in the city and home to an enormous assortment of spices and dry plants, are all worth visiting. Dinner and spending the night at your Fes riad.

Day 4 : Fez -Ifrane- Azrou- Ziz Valley - Merzouga

We depart from Fes with Linda's Morocco Tours driver at 7 am to Ifrane, one of Morocco's most picturesque cities (known as the Switzerland of Morocco due to its winter climate, stunning scenery, and incredible architecture). From there, we go to Midelt via Azrou and the Middle Atlas's cedar forest, where you might see herds of Barbary apes, or monkeys. After lunch in Midelt, a town renowned for its delicious apples, we will cross the Tizi-n-Talent mountain and enter the Ziz Valley, which is dotted with long oasis and palm trees. Admire the "ksars" or castles of the several Berber towns that we stop at along the way. We pass through the adobe-colored city of Er-Rachidia, making stops to see kasbahs and palm groves along the way. In the afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, where you will be welcomed with a hot cup of mint tea/ relax in your room and spend the night in your hotel. .

Day 5: Sahara Desert of Erg Chebbi

After breakfast, you can enjoy the pleasures of a leisurely stroll through the enormous dunes of Erg Chebbi, which has Morocco's largest underground natural reservoir, or perhaps you would prefer to go shopping in the neighbouring villages of Merzouga, and then the tiny village of Khamlia, also known as the "black people's village," which is home to descendants of slaves who were taken from the Sudan and whose residents will mesmerise you with their renditions of beloved Gnawa music. After that, take pleasure in an amazing 90-minute camel ride amid shifting sand dunes into a gorgeous sunset. You will arrive at a traditional Berber desert campsite and spend the night in a lovely tent surrounded by the towering dunes. Until it's time to go to sleep, unwind and savour a delectable dinner while taking in the lovely melodies of traditional Berber music. The stars are so numerous and brilliant that you could practically reach out and touch them.

Day 6 : Merzouga-Tinejdad-Todra Gorges-Boumalne Dades

Get up early so that you can see the sunrise from the top of a dune in the Sahara. After these beautiful and unique moments, you will have breakfast and then ride a camel back to the hotel, where you may relax with a shower. On our way to Tinghir, we pass through Erfoud and Tinejdad, where we may pause to have lunch. In the afternoon, we will continue to the stunning Todra Gorges. stopping along the road to take in the view and take panoramic pictures. Arrival at Todra Gorges to hike and enjoy the Canyons' amazing views. Later on, we're going to Dades Valley to check into the hotel and eat dinner.

Day 7 : Boumalne Dades -kalaa M'gouna- Skoura - Ouarzazate

After breakfast, head towards Ouarzazate via the Thousand Kasbah Valley, the Rose Valley, and finally the Palm of Skoura. Skoura is renowned for having numerous kasbahs amidst palm trees. It is also the first point of intersection on the Dades road that leads to Kelaat M'Gouna, the Dades gorges, Boumalne, and the Toudra valley. In actuality, it is a typical location for oasis architecture. After arriving in Ouarzazate, have a lunch break and then see the Kasbah Taourirt, which is partially located in the Ouarzazate settlement of the same name and is constructed entirely of earth. The complex is strategically situated at the meeting point of the Drâa River, which is formed by the wadis of Dades and Ouarzazate. It is also situated at the intersection of former caravan routes. Finally check in at your accommodation for dinner and sleep over.

Day 8 : Ouarzazate - Marrakech

After breakfast, head for Marrakech. While travelling, we stop at the well-known Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, which is without a doubt the best-preserved walled hamlet in southern Morocco and has been recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Arrival in the late afternoon in Marrakech, drop off at your lodging to rest, have dinner and sleep.

Day 9 : Marrakech Sightseeing Tour

Set out from your accommodation on an engaging guided tour of Marrakech. Discover famous locations like Medrassa Ben Youssef and Bahia Palace while being led by a knowledgeable guide. Take in the rich history and Moorish architecture. Visit the vibrant and culturally significant Jemaa El Fna plaza. Take in the peace and quiet of Majorelle Gardens after lunch. The magnificent conclusion showcases the skills of the artists as it leads you through the colourful souks. When the tour ends it will leave you with priceless memories and a greater appreciation of Marrakech's allure. End at the bustling Djemaa el fna square or at your hotel.

Day 10 : Marrakech - Essaouira

The driver of Linda Morocco Tours will transport you to the beautiful fishing town of Essaouira after breakfast. When you arrive, you'll see the local fisherman at the fishing port of Essaouira, visit the Skala Kasbah, and stroll along the beach to see the youngsters from the area playing football. After that, you'll have a seafood lunch at a neighbourhood restaurant and take a leisurely stroll through Essaouira's Medina. Various musical ensembles from all across Africa come together for an annual "Gnawa music" event in June. you will spend the night at a Hotel/Riad BB in Essaouira.

Day 11 : Essaouira - El Jadida to Casablanca

following breakfast. Departure via El Jadida for Casablanca. A stop at Oualidia. Proceeding down the coast towards El Jadida. Arrival at the Portuguese Vestiges To take some wonderful pictures. Proceeding to Casablanca, drop off at your accommodation.

Day 12 :Casablanca – Rabat

Following breakfast, we will tour the stunning Hassan II Mosque and get to know the city's most prominent sites, including Mohamed V Square, the Park of the Nations, and the Boulevard de la Corniche. Then, before checking into a hotel, we'll proceed towards Rabat, the country's administrative hub, for a brief tour of the Mohammed V. Mausoleum, the Hassan Tower, and the façade and gardens of the Royal Palace.

Day 12 :Rabat – Tangier

After breakfast at the hotel, head to Tangier's port or airport at the designated hour.Our 13-day desert tours from Tangier have come to an end.
